Mrs. Daswani was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 1, 1977, Mrs. Daswani moved with her family to Georgia at the tender age of ten. She graduated from Douglas County High School and went on to attend Georgia Southern University where she was an advisor to the cultural arts committee and honored as leader of the year for her first two years of college.
In 1998, Mrs. Daswani graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Georgia State University where she was vice-president of Phi Eta Sigma, and member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.
During her law school career, Mrs. Daswani excelled academically, receiving numerous accolades while committed to community service and extracurricular activities throughout her matriculation. She was the winner of the 2001 United Way Volunteer of the Month and 2000 Community Service Scholarship. Prior to even graduating from law school, Mrs. Daswani gained invaluable work experience at Atlanta Volunteer Law Foundation, under the third year Trial Practice Act and as a legal intern to Judge John Goger of the Superior Court of Fulton County, Family Law Division, and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. These experiences enabled Mrs. Daswani to gain unique insight to domestic relations litigation. A participant in the International Law Program in Austria, Mrs. Daswani also served as vice-president of the International Law Association.
Mrs. Daswani received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Georgia State University College of Law, and became a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta and Cobb Bar Associations and Young Lawyers Division of State Bar of Georgia.
In September 2007, Mrs. Daswani and Mr. Thomas J. Browning co-authored an article for the Family Law Review entitled Marry Me – Sign Here First, which contemplates the impact of the Scherer decision on pre-nuptial agreements and the statutory requirements under O.C.G.A. §19-3-63. Ms. Daswani was a panelist at the Convocation on Professionalism on January 22, 2009, and a featured Speaker at the Family Law Seminar: Updates and Practice Pointers for 2010.
Mrs. Daswani has a superior reputation for her commitment to service. A member of the Young Lawyers Division, she was a member of the Aspiring Youth Committee where she ultimately served as both co-chairmen, and chairmen. She also served the Young Lawyers Division as the Aspiring Youth Committee Advisor, and continues as a member of the Community Service Project Committee. In 2006, the Young Lawyers Division honored Mrs. Daswani with the Award for Achievement and Outstanding Service to the Public. Mrs. Daswani also contributes her time as an attorney coach to the Walker Mock Trial Team. She is equally committed to serving her community in a non-legal capacity and dedicates her time to helping others as an Assistant Capitan of the American Red Cross and leader of the Angel Food Network, since 1999. Mrs. Daswani was actively involved with the American Red Cross during the September 11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina, and the historic floods of 2009, just to name a few of the countless disasters where she has first hand experience. She has participated in well over two hundred disasters throughout her service to the American Red Cross.
Much like the other members of the firm, Mrs. Daswani maintains a commitment to excelling in all she does. As a result of her community service involvement, she has gained a talent for counseling individuals in stressful situations and understands the importance of providing quality service in an efficient manner while maintaining her composure in dire situations.
